The geochemical data processing is to obtain many kinds of elements in geochemicalexploration work analysis data and quantitative data related disciplines for processing,analysis, mapping and interpretation work. In geochemical data processing work, need todistinguish geochemical background, determine the paragenetic rules of combinationrelated to the ore-forming elements, the element or elements combination of spacevariation lawand soon.Wavelet transform is a rapid development branch of mathematics,which forms in the1980s.It has profound theoretical background and extensive engineering application. Itcan effectively extract information from signal, analyze signals in multi-scale finelythrough scaling and translation.Then it can provide a theoretical basis for the nonlinearanalysisofgeochemicaldata.In this paper,wavelet transform is used in geochemical data processing. Firstly thegeochemical element data collecting in the study area must be reduced the noise tomaintain the original data availability and reduce the impact of some errors in thegeochemical data. During the processing, the wavelet threshold denoising method is used.,the main several parameters: the optimal wavelet base and threshold, the thresholdfunction, decomposition layers should be taken into account.Though analyzing, draws athreshold denoising suitable for the test parameters and draw a conclusion that wavelettransform can highlight the details through time and frequency analysis and the waveletthreshold denoising can well remove the noise in the geochemical exploration data.At thesame time, it can be found that improved threshold function in the process of geochemicaldata has some limitations and it is not always superior to the traditional threshold functionsthough contrasting the selectionof threshold function. In the geochemical dataprocessing,it is necessaryaccording to theactual situation to choosetheappropriatethreshold function.Secondly though using different background to distinguish geochemical background and getting different anomaly contour maps under the different backgrounds to analyze,Itcomes to the conclusion that the element anomaly areas are different under differentbackground values, choosing different background values are used for reflecting andextracting weak anomaly distribution objectively and making the abnormal regions moreoutstanding. Lastly using abnormal information of different elements under differentbackgrounds, determine the paragenetic association of elements related toore-forming.Using anomaly superimposed diagrams related to the ore-forming to form theintersection area.Then in combination with the geological information, preliminaryforecastabnormalareawhichmaycontainspossible mineralresources.All in all, this paper selecting the wavelet analysis to analyze the geochemical dataand choosing the different background values to analyze, aims at providing a new methodoftechnologyforthegeochemical dataprocessing andmineralresourceprediction.
