Ground penetrating radar detection technology has the work efficiency and the highresolution and reliable results explain and wide application range, simple operation, and theadvantages of high degree of automation. It has a very broad application prospects on shallowgeological survey, such as detecting goaf, bedrock surface, coating thickness, find the latentfault and fracture zone, ancient caves, as well as the underground buried objects (pipes, cable,metaltarget,etc.), pipeditch, culvert,etc.In order to study and analysis the effectiveness of ZTR12geological radar, we can detect theunderground empty area, and utilization of the radar system for underground passage, fracturedzone and distribution range and depth of the underground pipeline detection with it. The maincontentofthethesisareas follows:1. System analysis ZTR12geological radar technology parameter selection as well as thephysicalbasis,and givesthecorrespondingexperience.2. In different geological conditions, such as underground passage, fissure zone andunderground pipelines, electrical characteristics difference according to different area, choosedifferent parameters detection, and by using geological radar signal processing software toanalyze test data processing. Signal processing methods including zero setting, one dimensionalfilteringprocessing,background elimination,gain, wavelettransform,etc.3. In different geological environment, setting different geological radar parameters, usingthe different signal processing method to get the corresponding geological radar image. The testresults show that the underground passage, shallow penetration watershed and undergroundmetal pipelines, ZTR12geological ray can detect space location and its buried depth; In deepfracture detection, due to restricted by geological radar ZTR12effective detecting depth, failedtoachieveeffectivedetection results. 4. Using geological radar of Canadian sensoft EKKO do contrast test research inunderground tunnel, by selecting reasonable parameters, more intuitive detection results,consistentwith ZTR12geological radardetectionresults.5. ZTR12tests showed that the ground penetrating radar in the shallow geologicalconditions has good application effect, application experimental study results can providereferenceforZTR12geologicradarinthefuture.
