The seismic signal is non-stationary random signal, and the time-frequency analysis method is an effective means of seismic signal processing. At present, the time-frequency analysis methods are widely used in oil and gas reservoir prediction, lithology detection, irregular geological identification and improve the resolution of seismic data and other aspects. With the increasing exploration degree and exploration difficulty increased, the traditional time-frequency analysis has been unable to meet the requirements of the seismic data interpretation accuracy, the people are also getting to study the frequency analysis method of high resolution when more attention.Based on the analysis of the research on the traditional time-frequency analysis methods such as short time Fourier transform, continuous wavelet transform, Wenger-Ville distribution and the smooth pseudo Wenger-Ville distribution, the spectral reassignment has higher resolution, and analysis and comparison of its, in order to form a high resolution time-frequency analysis method.Using high resolution time-frequency analysis method for seismic data processing and analysis, this paper focuses on the instantaneous parameter extraction and frequency division processing in oil and gas reservoir location and seismic facies identification applications. Seismic attribute profile extraction instantaneous parameter can get more information, the instantaneous amplitude spectrum of fractal dimension profiles reflect the absorption effect of formation, can be used as one of a reference indicator of oil and gas reservoir location; and the instantaneous power spectrum center two moment profile can describe the contour and the internal structure of the seismic facies, a reference index can be identified as the seismic facies. Based on high resolution time-frequency analysis, the frequency division processing describe the time and frequency of seismic data more accurate local features. Through the analysis and interpretation of the seismic data, the high resolution time-frequency analysis can improve the accuracy of processing and interpretation.
