The excess emissions of carbon dioxide is a major cause of global warming. In recent years, the marine carbon dioxide monitoring is becoming the focus of worldwide attention. The difficulty and high cost of marine operations determine the in-situ automatic detection method is one of the most important accesses to massive carbon dioxide data acquisition. Also, it needs to achieve multi-point and network monitoring and long-term detection. Now, there is no marine in-situ monitoring instruments appearing except in the United States and a few other developed countries. This paper describes the realization and experimental verification of marine in-situ CO2 detector based on flow colorimetric method. The instrument has the features of multi-functional integration, electrical integration with automatic control of liquid flow. Its spectrophotometric performance is excellent for its standard linear correlation reaches R2= 0.9854 and R2= 9787 comparing to the spectrophotometer with the wavelength of 425nm and 620nm. This instrument has high stability and accuracy for the system measurement error is 6.0 x 10"5. Its measurement error is less than 1ppm.The developed prototype has high reliability, good stability, high resolution, while achieving a package with good sealing and high pressure resistant. This instrument complies with the requirements of the marine in situ detection instruments and has high practical and promotional value.
