With deep exploration and development, the target of oil and gas exploration is becoming more and more complex day by day. The exploration and development of unconventional reservoirs is impotrant. The deep tight sandy conglomerate reservoir in Xujiaweizi area is this kind of reservoir. The reservoir has the characteristics of multiple types of rocks, complex components, poor petrophysical property, complex pore structure and serious heterogeneity. For the effective development of the reservoir, it is necessary to perform some stimulations. In order to assure the effctiveness of the stimulation, it is necessary to perform detail logging eveluation and water cut prediction. The research object of the paper is the deep tight sandy conglomerate reservoir in Xujiaweizi area. The methods of logging eveluation and water cut prediction are researched.First, based on the materials of coring, microscope image analysis, mercury injection, the characteristics of lithology,mineral features, petrophysical property and pore structure in this area are reseached by using statistical methods in this paper. The research results indicate that the reservoir is the tight reservoir with poor petrophysical property and complex pore structure. Based on the research result of lithologic feature, the sensitive log was optimized to identify sand and sandy conglomerate by using histogram.Gamma ray log, deep lateral resistivity and density log are the most sensitive log. The second sensitive log are neutron porosity log and acoustic time log. Based on the optimized sensitive log, the methods of crossplot and PNN were chosen to identify the lithology. Based on the lithologic identification, parameter interpretation models, such as shale content, porosity, permeability, permeability and irreducible water saturation, are established by using the NMR、conventional logging and core analysis data. According to the research result of reservior character,the equivalent rock element theory is used to describe the influence of pore.throat ratio on rock conductivity, and concept of pore tortuosity is introduced to describe the influence of pore tortuosity on rock conductivity. The generalized Archie’s Law is uesd to describe the influence of shale content on rock conductivity The conductivity model of the area is established by using these theories. The influence of parameters in the model on rock conductivity, such as the porosity tortuorsity, pore structure efficiency, shale content and so on, are analyzed. Based on the detail logging eveluation, the relative permeability of gas and water is determined by using gas and water relative permeability model, then the water cut is predicted. The log data in the area are processed and evaluated by using the methods of logging eveluation and water cut prediction that are estabilished in this paper. The result indicates that the methods are suitable for the logging eveluation and water cut prediction of the deep tight sandy conglomerate reservoir in Xujiaweizi area.
