The aeromagnetic survey is a geophysical exploration method, which is always used for a basic geological survey, especially a solid metal mineral exploration. After getting the aeromagnetic data, we will highlight the useful information and study the characteristics of magnetic field by necessary aeromagnetic anomaly field conversion technologies, and then use geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing data in carrying on an omnibus research, identifying and classifying the regional geological structure, which is essential for the latter metallogenic prognosis. The purpose of this paper is to identify and classify the regional geological structure in Inner Mongolia Erenhot- Dongwuqi area. Based on the actual measuremental aeromagnetic data of the Inner Mongolia Erenhot – Dongwuqi area, we will correct the original data, draw the aeromagnetic maps, and use the reduction to the pole, upward continuation, pole vertical derivative and extracting the rest anomaly on delta T of aeromagnetic data, and then get all kinds of data processing conversion maps. Based on the above processing, we will combine the collected related geological data with the results of previous work, and then infer and divide the regional geological structure of the research area.Based on the obtained data, we will enhance, classify, and transform the original information by the aeromagnetic mining technology, and then draw up the fault structural diagram of the Inner Mongolia Erenhot- Dongwuqi area, which combines with the existing data. At the same time, we will take a preliminary study on geological interpretation for those important fault structure. Finally, we conclude that if you can take the recognition and determination of tectonic framework by using the aeromagnetic data, you will improve the level of regional basic geological survey, which can provide important airborne geophysical results for the latter evaluation and exploration of geological mineral resources.
