There are different degrees of amorphous phenomenon in pyrochlore super-group minerals, this phenomenon makes it difficult to identify them and give them correct names. On the other hand, water is also one important component of the pyrochlore super-group minerals;content and structure of the water plays a key role in its designation. So doing research on the cause of amorphous about the pyrochlore super-group minerals and the structure forms of water has important significance. The main cause of the amorphous phenomenon is that the pyrochlore super-group minerals contain high radioactive elements(U, Th, TR, etc.)and these elements may lead to radiation damage. But this is not the only reason, the particularity of the minerals formula, the complexity of the isomorphic substitution and the instability of the crystal lattice may all lead to the minerals amorphous. Some heating experiments were carried on pyrochlore super-group minerals by selection under microscopic, scanning electron microscopy, electron probe as well as micro-hardness testing in order to solve the difficulties which are made by amorphous characteristic in diffraction study. Then make three typical kinds of such minerals recrystallized by heat treatment in order to study its structure and mineral species. By controlling the rate when changing the heating and cooling gradient time, experimental results show that changes in time when heated and temperature gradients have a significant impact on an amorphous mineral recrystallization. X-ray diffraction study of the final heat of the samples showed that the heat treatment makes the crystal structure of minerals have vary degrees of recovery, which provides the mineral chemistry test calculations and naming important information. The pyrochlore group minerals which was found in the Maoniuping rare earth ore deposit, Mianning County, Sichuan Province is identified as lead-rich pyrochlore by the electron probe, also, this kind of mineral contains water. However, the determination of the type of water has been a problem, we use infrared spectroscopy and differential thermal analysis through a series of heating experiments study and at last it solves the type of water perfectly. Experiments confirmed the mine water is H2 O not OH-1,so this kind of pyrochlore is named Hydroplumbopyrochlore.
