This thesis provides a summary of the forming conditions of shale oil of The First Member of Qingshankou Formation in Qijia Region, Songliao Basin by the collection of the geological, geochemical, reservoir data and sample test date. The research resaults are as follows:Dark shale of The First Member of Qingshankou Formation in Qijia Region is mainly deep and half-deep lake sedimentation, of which almost all is dark shale; The total thickness of shale mainly distributes between 60~110m, which is thicker in the central and southern parts with the thickest being over 11 Om.This formation has a high quality of organic geochemical conditions. The kerogen types are mainly Ⅰand Ⅱ1; The organic matter evolution is of a mature to high mature degree. The Ro mainly distributes between 0.68%~1.3%, obviously trending to generating oil; The total organic carbon content of the study area is high. TOC is with an average of 4.15%, the chloroform bitumen "A" 0.3729% and S1+S2 13.61 mg/g.This formation has a high quality of reservoir conditions. The dark shale has a high content of clay which distributes between 45%~65%, while the content of quartz, feldspar, carbonate minerals and pyrite is low. The main types of clay are mainly illite-and-smectite mixed layer and illite, which are 80% of the total amount of clay. The reservoir space types are mainly organic matter pore, intergranular pore, intragranular pore and micro fracture. Intergranular pore and organic matter pore are more abundant; Pores are mainly micro-pore and meso-pore, and pore configuration is well. The evaluation indexes have been made by a comprehensive study to determine the Favorable areas of shale oil in the study area. Combined with it, shale oil favorable exploration areas of The First Member of Qingshankou Formation in Qijia Region can be predicted as I and Ⅱ.
