Based on snow/ice surface thermal balance equation and data from observations at Daqing Hongqipao reservoir in the winter of 2008 and 2009, and some meteorological data of Anda Weather Station downloaded from China Meteorological Data Sharing Service System, the snow/ice surface temperature on the reservoir was simulated. According to the simulation results, the characteristics and regular patterns were analyzed. Hence, the minimum and maximum design snow/ice surface temperatures are obtained. This thesis is part of the research findings of the national natural science funds project(41376186) and the Dalian University of Technology coastal and offshore engineering State Key Laboratory open funds project(LP1217). The major research findings are shown as follows:1 Based on snow/ice surface thermal balance equation and the data derived from the reservoir-ice measurements in Hongqi-pao reservoir in Heilongjiang province in the winter of 2008-2009, the observation data was processed by three times spline interpolation and using the secant iteration method,the snow/ice surface temperature on the reservoir was simulated.Clear periodical changes of the surface temperature, air temperature and net radiation were found. In different conditions of wind speed, solar radiation, the time, the relationship between snow / ice surface temperature and air temperature were analyzed.2 The characteristics and regular patterns of snow/ice surface temperatures were analyzed.Hence, the minimum and maximum design snow/ice surface temperatures are obtained.The measured cold temperature generally appears in the morning, and most are between 7:00-8:00. This supports the previous method that morning air temperature is selected as the minimum design ice surface temperature.
