Cosmic ray production, acceleration mechanism has been a fundamental problem unsolved particle astrophysics. Especially sensitive to cosmic ray knee problem area, the causes of knee area will make the correct interpretation of this century puzzle answers decisive act of cosmic ray energy spectrum and composition of the knee area is also part of the solution can accurately measure an angle spectral problem. All along, the scientists conducted a number of multinational experiments, using a variety of means to analyze the observed cosmic ray information, but between the various experiments on the spectrum of problems difficult to reach agreement, but there is a big component of the cosmic rays differences.PRISMA project(PRImary Spectrum Measurement Array, Array original spectrometry) is planning to build 411 detector research center in Sichuan Daocheng, LHAASO of 1km2 detector array center with one of the electronic detector and μ sub-detectors combined in here high altitude favorable conditions greatly improved other experimental high-energy cosmic rays unmatched detection capabilities.This article stresses the principle of PRISMA construction of the detector, the detector feasibility explain theoretically run, and then optimize the detector test whether the detection performance of the detector can be enhanced. Then the data gathered by the probes were analyzed to see whether the data is stable and with what information. The final step is carried out some simulations, theoretically detect whether the results of this detector can be a very good expectations.This article can be roughly divided into the following sections:The first chapter introduces the research progress of domestic and international cosmic ray generation and propagation mechanisms and cosmic rays in the knee area.The second chapter introduces the principles of building construction and exploration and PRISMA-YBJ experiment thermal neutron detector array.The third chapter describes the optimization of thermal neutron detector, is able to enhance the sensitivity of the detector, and the observation probe measurement of radioactivesources.The fourth chapter describes some of the data results PRISMA-YBJ observed PRISMA-YBJ compared with the ARGO-YBJ data results, analyze the information in line with cases, andThe fifth chapter result of describes PRISMA-YBJ analog data on primary cosmic rays is theoretically able to distinguish between good and observe the results of the lateral distribution of EAS.The sixth chapter summarizes the work and looking forward to the value and contribution of PRISMA-YBJ project on cosmic ray physics.
