Radial basis function is presented in recent years as a kind of scattered data in good approximation method. It can use a function to describe the function of many variables,convenient to store. But it need to solve the linear system of equations in the process of operation. When the scattered data is so large, it becomes difficult to calculate coefficient matrix, at this time, the quasi-interpolation has been proposed. The quasi-interpolation is not needed to solve the system of equations.With only good structure format, we can obtain satisfactory results. The more representative of which is Multi- Quadric function.The article mainly introduces the basic knowledge of the radial basis function interpolation and the quasi-interpolation. It is divided into four chapters: the first is the background of the radial basis function, The following describes the basic theories and properties of the radial basis function interpolation and the quasi-interpolation; The third chapter is a major work of this article, we have done a lot of numerical experiments, including the radial basis function interpolation and the quasi-interpolation experiment,of course,the experiment using radial basis function to solve the differential equation experiments. Through to the The different values of parameters in basis function,we found different approximation effect; The last is a summary of this article and put forward the work to do in the future.
