Switched singular system is a new research field of control theory developed in recent years. Due to complexity of the structure of the systems, the study of them is more difficult than the study of the normal switched systems. At present, the study results of the switched systems are mostly focused on normal switched systems, and the results are relative fewer for the systems whose subsystems are all singular system. Compared with the normal switched systems, there exists regularity, pulse and other issues in switched singular systems. So its analysis and design is more complex and more difficult. Therefore,it has important theoretical and practical significance for the further researches and explorations of singular system and switched singular system.In this paper, the research object is the model reference adaptive control of singular systems and switched singular systems, respectively, based on three kinds of theory of parameter optimization, Lyapunov stability and Popov hyper stability, designs three different kinds of model reference adaptive control. Research results of this paper are summarized as follows:1) Based on the theory of parametric optimization, studies a kind of model reference adaptive control of singular systems, and designs the adaptive law. The simulation results show that, the state asymptotic convergence of the tracking error, verify the effectiveness of the proposed design method.2) Based on the theory of Lyapunov stability, studies a kind of model reference adaptive control of singular systems and a kind of model reference adaptive control of switched singular systems, and designs the adaptive law. The simulation results show that, the state asymptotic convergence of the tracking error, verify the effectiveness of the proposed design method. 3) Based on the theory of Popov hyper stability, studies a kind of model reference adaptive control of singular systems and a kind of model reference adaptive control of switched singular systems, and designs the adaptive law. The simulation results show that, the state asymptotic convergence of the tracking error, verify the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
