Deuterium-tritium neutron generator has been widely applied in atomic energy, metallurgy, biochemistry, pharmaceutical, food, environment, nuclear power,geological exploration,etc,and has obtained many important results, especially for the defense industry has important significance. In this kind of neutron generator,the accelerated deuterium ion bombards rotating target,and with tritium in it happens nuclear reaction D+Tâ†'4He+n+17.6MeV,gets14MeV monochromatic neutrons by this reaction. Rotating target is extremely important parts of neutron generator,so it needs quite high tritium density and thermal stability. In order to prevent tritium gas releasing from the target caused by overheating, the temperature is generally controlled below200℃.However, the traditional classical theory of of heat, fluid mechanics and solid mechanics is difficult to accurately solve multi-physics problems involving solids and fluids.In order to solve these multi-physics problems, this paper takes the numerical analysis method, uses simulation software ANSYS WORKBENCH to realize fluid-solid coupling simulation calculation of steady state and transient analysis to rotating target system,, obtains the temperature distribution and corresponding thermal stress of rotating target system. By comparing the results of each analysis,select the effective method of simulation analysis to rotating target system, so as to provide the basis and guidance for the design of rotating target system.Firstly, with reference to related research and structure design experience about deuterium-tritium neutron generator and rotating target system at home and abroad, complete the preliminary overall structure design of the rotating target system and3-D modeling of the main structure such as rotating target and rotating shaft, sealing target chamber structure and so on. Adopt the relevant formula of classical theory and finit element method to target for strength check and simulation calculation of heat.Then to simplify the model of rotating target system, and complete the corresponding heat-fluid-solid coupling steady state and transient state analysis according to the working conditions. After the simulation, obtain the temperature distribution and the corresponding thermal stress. Finally, according to the results of each analysis, analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the various simulation methods.This article selects the ANSYS WORKBENCH simulation software as a working platform, and also makes a brief introduction to the FLUENT and ANSYS Mechanical module.
