Chifeng is located in the superposition and conversion parts between the east-west Paleo-Asia metallogenic domain and Circum-West Pacific metallogenic domain. The three stages of tectonic evolution were the formation of continental basement, the continental margin accretion of Paleo-Asian Ocean and the continental marginal activities of west Pacific, which made the metallogenetic conditions extremely favorable. The fluorite deposits are mainly formed in Variscan and Yanshanian, and the mineralization is more intense in Yanshanian with superimposed mineralization characteristics. The fluorite deposits in Linxi area belongs to mid-low temperature post-magmatic hydrothermal fissure filling ore deposits, which mainly formed in late Yanshanian(140Ma±). The ore-forming process are closely related to the Yanshanian tectonic-magmatic activity and the corresponding volcanic and intrusive rock formation. SN-NNE and NW strike faults are the main ore-controlling fractures; Permian and Jurassic strata are widely distributed, closely related to the fault and volcanic activity; and they complement each other to form the main source bed and host strata for the polymetallic deposits and fluorite deposits in this areas. The favourale sections for mineralization are the contact zone between Permian strata and intermediate-acid rock, and the intersections part of different direction faults. The distribution characteristics of fluorite ore deposit (occurrences) overall show that the northeast direction forms into zone, the south-north into line and concentrated in some parts. The fluorite metallogenic process is divided into four periods, according to the detailed study on metallogenic background, geological features and mineral characteristics. Fluorite mineralization vertical zoning from top to bottom is made up of four parts:silicated hat, the head, middle and tail of ore body. The fluide inclusions indicatde that the ore-forming fluid is characterized by its low-middle temperature and low salinity. At last, combined with the ore-forming age and geotectonic evolution, the fluorite metallogenic model of Linxi area is established.Baed on the research above, through the geology-geophysics-geochemistry-RS comprehensive exploration and assesment method, the two targets (Elimutai and Baoshan) in Linxi are developed for prospecting and mineral potential evaluation, which have quite advantageous metallogenetic condition and obtain resource amount3.4×1061with the type of334.
