CORS developed on GPS technology and it provides a great convenience to thenavigation and positioning of all walks of life especially in surveying and mapping.Operators needn’t to set up the base station, engage in control surveying, convertparameters and so on by CORS. This technology is able to get rid of disadvantages oftraditional RTK measurement. Firstly, this paper introduces the definition, principle andstructure of CORS. Secondly, the paper analyzes several mathematical models and maincharacteristic of CORS by comparing some major network RTK technology.This paper puts forward a set of methods for testing CORS in order to ensure theoperation of the system stably and provide accurate navigation service for users. Thetest of CORS includes stability analysis and accuracy test. Stability analysis is toanalyze the stability of data center, reference stations, communication system, spaceavailability, service time and the compatibility of CORS. For accuracy test, the paperproposed a method to point detection. This method includes the test of static points anddynamic points. Besides, the paper proposed that the accuracy of position can be testedby setting up continuous operating monitor stations and testing in different time.The paper also analyzes the stability and accuracy for CORS of Hefei land. Theoverall accuracy of this system was obtained by analyzing the internal/external accordaccuracy which is calculated on measurement data.
