Relacuo area is located in Gaize county of Tibet, geotectonic located in theQiangtang-Sanjiangmagmatic belt. The natural environment in study area is very bad,traffic inconvenience, low degree of geological work, and therefore prospecting isdifficult.Based on the metallogenic geological background analysis, this study usingremote sensing technology, by extracting favorable prospecting clues, porphyrycopper deposit prediction in Relacuo area was done.This article summarizes the regional metallogenic geological background of thestudy area, and based on the research of Duobuzaporphyry copper deposits, themetallogenic elements and combination of porphyry copper deposit wereestablished.By using ETM+multispectral remote sensing image to carry out theextraction of remote sensing geological feature elements work, and using ETM+andASTER datatoextractthe mineralization alteration information. Then, based themetallogenicelements of Duobuza copper deposit,6prospecting prediction variableswere selected including fault, brittle-ductile deformation belt, ore control rock,circular structure, hydroxyl alterations and ferric alterations of remote sensing. Studyareawas divided into5682km×2km unit grid. Finally,5prospecting area weredelineatedusing characteristic analysis, which provided reference information forfurther surface exploration.The main results as follows:1. The regional metallogenic geological background of the study area wassummarized, and based on the research of Duobuzaporphyry copper deposits, themetallogenic elements and combination of porphyry copper deposit were established.2. Based on ETM characteristics, we establish the interpretations of mineralizedelements about linear structure, circular structure, strata, and magmatic rocks.Analysis of that,intersection and tangent combinations of northwest (northeast)trending structures with circular structures have an important indicating significancefor prospecting in the area. Using the3D visualization model of linear structure andcircular structure to discriminant the early interpretation results. 3. Principal component analysis is used to extract all kinds of the alterationsinformation of ETM+and ASTER.And theyprovide important prospecting clues forporphyry copper deposit prediction.4. Prospecting model is established through analyzing the favorable geologicalconditions and interpreting remote sensing geological features and extracting remotesensing alteration information and information of geological body. The characteristicanalysis method is adopted to establish the function of metallogentic favorable degreeof study area. Based on the result of above work, metallogenic favorable degree isanalyzed and had selected5areas of prospecting, which provided referenceinformationof remote sensing for further ground exploration of large scale.
