The characteristics of structure, deposition microfacies and sand body morphology, diagenesis, physical property and micro-pore structure of He8and Shanl in natural reservoir of Southern Yulin are researched at the base of test results of cast section, SEM, X diffraction, cathodeluminescence, grain and high pressure mercury penetration. Then the reservoir is evaluated and favorable areas are selected, the main results as follow.Several latitudinal nose uplifts can be recognized in He8and Shanl reservoir, structure of every sublayer presents good succession. Braid river deposit develops in He8member and delta plain subfacies grow in Shanl member. Channel bar, bed detention and distributary channel microfacies are the main save facies belt. Correspond relationship between sand body morphology and deposition microfacies is preferable, sand body scale and thickness of He8member increase from top to down, sand body of Shanl3develops more better than other sublayer in Shanl member.Studies have shown that roek types of gas reservoir are mainly lightgray, brown gray quartz sandstones of Upper Paleozoic gas.Experieneed compaetion, cementation, replaeement and dissolution, etc, the reservoirs and stone has reached the late diagenesis B period, and the types of porosity are mainly dissoluted pore and residual in tergranular pore as the main gas storage space. Microfaeies, sand body distribution and diagenes is the main factor to controlling gas accumulation, and the most favorable reservoir sand is the main channel. The key factors influencing reservior quality are selected, macroscopy is combined with microscope, weight is considered. Reservoir is evaluated synthetically, I types are always in the most favorable deposition microfacies and diagenetic facies.
