The technology and development of petroleum seismic exploration constantly develop,which impels the remote control system to improve its functions. Modern seismic explorationtends towards digital,high precision,high density and large area,etc. Remote control systemneeds some firing modes,tests and so on.Along with the turn of remote control system fromanalog system to digital system, its functions improves remarkably in various aspects. It makesfield construction more convenient an efficient to workers.Because of adverse conditions of temote control system and landform, it will produce badseismic datas and delay the schedule of aquistion. If we use some equipments that have badconsistency and large delay, we will fail to process and interpret the aquistion works.Mountains, desert dunes and grooves will cut off the transmission signal between seismicequipment and encoders, which makes decoders fire unsuccessfully.This article elaborates theories about the composing,operational principle and specificapplication of BOOM BOX. Besides,there are some similarities and differences betweenBOOM BOX and other remote control systems. It also may contribute to understandingBOOM BOX better for professionals,which improves work efficiency and exploits limitedresources.
