The Determination Of Reserves Parameters Of Jurassic And Triassic In Baihe Oil Region In The Ordos Basin

Oil and gas reserves are an important basis for guiding oil and gas field exploration anddevelopment and resource assessment. Reserve calculation carried out as accurately aspossible, the value of reserve parameters must be studied in-depth.Based on the Baihe oil region of Ordos Basin, this paper conducted a comprehensivegeological study, according to the actual geological conditions of the area and combined withexisting drilling logging, laboratory analysis and the production of dynamic data in the area.Baihe oil region has five major reservoirs including Yan10, Chang4+5, Chang6, Chang8andChang9. Yan10oil group is the braided river subfacis deposition, medium low porosity andlow permeability and structure-lithologic reservoir. The remainings are delta front subfacisdeposition, low porosity and extra low permeability and lithologic reservoir.Based on the study of geological background, the paper focuses on the study of eachreserve parameters used in volumetric method calculation of reserves. Pushing the outerboundary oil wells connection and the effective thickness method are all used to determine theboundary of bearing area. The effective reservoir lower limit of each group is determined bycore analysis, slice identification, log interpretation and other methods. The value of effectiveporosity is based on core analysis and log interpretation method. Initial oil saturation isadopted from sealed coring, water base mud coring, mercury method and log interpretationmethod. The reservoir parameter determination method of the typical reserves in Yan’an andYanchang group summarized, the area is compared with other similar blocks. The keys and theprincipal sources of error during the process for determining values of the various parametersis pointed out. This research provides a basis for reserves calculation optimization of otherblocks in the basin in the future.
