In recent years, along with coal mine being mined continually, pit became more andmore deeper, and a lot of accident in coal mine is because of transformation and landslide ofslope. In order to ensure all production work of mine can be under in a safe and orderlyenvironment, it is very necessary to monitor safely and effectively. The technology of GPShas advantages of high positioning accuracy and can be realized easily, so it is widely used inall kinds of monitoring techniques. If the GPS technology is used in the application of slopemonitoring technology, system can has advantages of high monitoring precisiona and highdegree of automation.The system uses the GPS signal as the basic monitoring data, and uses the phasemeasuring pseudo range observation equation and carrier phase difference principle tocalculate location. The system uses data processing software for its solution, using carrierphase difference principle for detection and repair of cycle slip, using VTEC model forcorrecting error of ionosphere, using Black model for correcting error of troposphere, usingHoffman coding to compress GPS data. By determining location information of monitoringpoints in the monitoring of coal mine, we can build whole coal mine information integratedplatform. When the abnormal data appears, the system can alarm timely. Compared withmonitoring technology in the past, this system has high degree of automation, highpositioning accuracy, fast ability to react, reliable data, so it can be used in spatial structuremonitoring and state evaluation enduringly.
