With the progress of science and technology,thepower of internal combustion engine become more and more serious.Following by it,the excessive thermal load of piston may cause a serious of safety problem such as the decline of mechanical properties. How to reduce the temperature of the piston has been become the hot topic in the research of internal combustion engine.The technology of jet impingement cooling has been become one of best method for piston cooling, because of its strong capability of heat transfer, small footprint and no changing the structure of piston But the heat transfer ability of traditionalcooling work fluid is too low to satisfy the ever-increasing thermal load of the piston. Due to its excellent thermal conductivity and heat transfer capacity, nano fluids can be a new kind of cooling work fluid to piston. In this paper, I try to use the method of improving the capacity of cooling work fluid in jet impingement cooling system, in order to lead nano fluids into the cooling system of piston, with the purpose of further strengthen the cooling capacity of jet impingement cooling. The following is the content of this paper:1) Introduces the fundamental ofheat transfer enhancement of nano fluids and jet impingement cooling technology, providing the theoretical basis for importing nano fluids into jet impingement cooling system;2) In this paper, I prepared SiO2-water nano fluids by two-step method. After suspention stability experiment, the experimental result shows that the nano fluids which is prepared represents good dispersion, in line with the requirements of the impinging jet cooling experiment;3) Measuring the physical property parameter of this experiment. Use transient hot-wire theory to measure the heat conductivity coefficient of nano fluids I prepared and usecone viscometer to gauge viscosity. Relying on the measurement result, I establish the experiment programe;4) A jet impingement cooling system was established to measure the convective heat transfer coefficient of deionized water in different impingement conditions;5) Comparing results and giving reasonable explaination...
