According to the regional geological setting, structure, etc. Ordos Basin sedimentarycharacteristics, analyzes the extension of the basin evolution and characteristics of YanchangFormation, where the most widely seven long lake area, the distribution of the largest deeplake. Xiasiwan area is located in the Ordos Basin, Shaanxi Iraq slopes Yanchang seven timesoil group based research focused on the horizon.After analyzing several common characteristics and application logs response through datacomparison and statistical analysis, summed up under the Temple Bay area long seven oilshale, tuff and mudstone logging response characteristics: overall response characteristics ofoil shale logging performance of the "three high", that is, high gamma, high jet lag, highresistivity (ie GR>120API, AC>250μs/m, R>140m); tuff logging responsecharacteristics for the overall performance of a relatively high gamma, high jet lag, lowresistivity, spontaneous potential negative changes in the larger (ie GR>110API, AC>200μs/m, R <90m); mudstone logging response characteristics for the overall performance of arelatively high gamma, high jet lag, natural and the variation in the potential of the negative,the value is low resistance, etc.(i.e. GR>90API, AC>210μs/m, R>80m).Combined Xiasiwan deposition area and geological background characteristics wereanalyzed in the area long seven oil shale, tuff and mudstone types, causes and distribution. Oilshale thickness in the region long seven huge, wide distribution, high degree of development.Region long seven tuff layer thickness is thin, but wide distribution, unique logs, lithologyobvious and easy to identify. To extend the area long seven major shale rocks deposited on thelake, its wide distribution, thick, rich in organic matter, well logs distinctive characteristics.
