Sylvite is a catch-all name for compounds rich in potassium used to replenish tired soilsand boost production.It contains soluble salt minerals and insoluble aluminum silicateminerals. The most refined potassium salt used as fertilizer, only a small part is used asindustrial raw materials. The sylvite reserves in our country is very low, both in agricultureand industry are very difficult to meet the requirements.Sylvite has been listed as one of theChinese scarce mineral.Due to the low density of sylvite mine and shallow, The exploration ofsylvite mine gravity method has a very significant effect and make an important guarantee ofthe high precision gravity data acquisition and processing and interpretation of gravity for thefollowing exploration. The content of this paper has certain practical significance. In the paper,the main recearch work and achievements including the aspects are as follows:1. Study on several methods of gravity separation:trend surface analysis, analyticalcontinuation, interpolation cutting and wavelet analysis. Through the establishment of modeltest we got very good results.2. Study on several methods of boundary identification: horizontal derivative,normalized difference method and normalized standard deviation. Through the establishmentof model test we got very good results.3. According to the real condition of the Congo sylvite mine the analytical continuationmethod is applied to explain the basal mining area,we use trend surface analysis andanalytical continuation method, differential cutting method, wavelet/wavelet packet method,the finite element method, finite difference method in nine point to separated region field andthe local field, remote sensing, horizontal direction derivative, three-directional smallsubdomain in filtering, normalized difference method are used to identify fault zone or boundary.4. After the above processing, I divided7Class I potash target and5Class II potashtarget.
