Complex Networks have always been an important research object to many experts andscholars. Not only power grid, railway network but also social enterprise cooperation networkand the Internet can be abstracted as the complex network to study. Traditional study of complexnetwork regard research objects as nodes and abstract the relationship between them into edges.In reality, the relationships between the research object of many networks are not single, forexample, favorable reception and negative feedback in TaoBao, the global cooperation andcompetition between countries and so on. Based on the thinking and discussion of practicalproblems, signed network research has been popular in many scholars in recent years. Signednetwork refers to the two-dimensional complex network with both positive and negativerelations. It is a promotion of the description ability of general complex networks. Positive edgesrepresent positive relations such as approval, friendship and like, and negative edges representnegative relations such as opposition, antagonism and dislike. Signed networks widely exist insociety, information, biological and other complex systems. It is of a great significance to studythe topological structure of complex networks using the properties of positive and negative edges.The main content of this article is in-depth research of the structure properties of signednetworks and analysis of society networks in reality.This article presents the research background, significance and the study present situation ofthe Internet and sign symbol network at home and abroad in the first place, and then introducesthe basic concept of symbolic network, representation method and basic theory, and following isthe detailed study on the structure properties of symbolic network, finally this paper conducts aseries of exploration with the symbol network application in the topics and classmatesrelationship networks.There are there innovation points of this article. First, the symbols and the negative edges inthe network are neglected and only keep positive edges in the study of symbolic networkstructure. Second, the topic network of the domestic forums is abstracted into symbol network tostudy. Third, the basic research of structure is expanded from triple tuple to four and five tuple.The future work of this paper is further research on the basic structure of the hierarchytheory and the domestic network which can be abstracted to signed networks.
