The railway network, as an important part of the transportation network, plays a vital role in the social and economic development, national defense construction and the improvement of people’s living standards. In this thesis, the geographic network (station network) and train flow network (transfer network) of Yunnan railways are constructed by the theory and method of complex networks. The topological properties of these two networks are analyzed, and such statistical characteristic quantities as degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality and clustering coefficient are calculated. The results show that the average degree of the geographic network of Yunnan railways is2.01, and its average path length is28.2; this network does not have obvious small-world and scale-free characteristics. The average degree of the train flow network of Yunnan railways is27.51, its average path length is2.27, and its clustering coefficient is0.92; the power-law index of the fitted degree distribution is1.29, this network exhibits small-world and some scale-free characteristics.
