Electronic cartography, GPS and other geographic information systems have been widely used in various electronic devices to identify locations, define the rules of the road, and obtain relevant information. The traditional electronic.cartography map not only is high-cost, but also restricted by law and technology. Crowdsourcing Geographic Data is an open-source geographic data provided by contributors. There are many advantages to Crowdsourcing Geographic Data, such as a large database, information variety, low cost, and a fast response rate. For these reasons, geographic data has become a focus in the field of international geographic information science in recent years.Crowdsourcing Geographic Data is porvided by non-professional contributors, so the data quality must be evaluated and analyzed before applying to daily life and related research areas. OpenSreetMap (OSM) is the most represented project in the application of Crowdsourcing Geographic Data and include a large number of geographic information, hence, this paper is an in-depth study of OSM in Crowdsourcing Geographic Data data quality assessment models and methods. Firstly, this paper researched demands of data quality in different areas, and conducted statistical analysis of their importance and significance. Secondly, Combining the international standards of ISO geographic information data quality, the representative dimensions as evaluation indicators were selected inculding contributors, and a new data quality assessment framework was establish. The framework is composed by the evaluation index, evaluation model and evaluation process. Then, using Kunming OSM map as target and Kunming2014surveying and mapping map as reference, the data quality was evaluated by using the accurate tools of ArcGIS platform. Finally, based on the assessment results, the quality and availability of the OSM dataset were analysed. Experimental results indicated that Kunming OSM data has good integrity and accuracy, can be applied to daily electronic maps and related research areas. In this paper, a detailed comparison of Kunming OSM map and professional surveying and mapping map was done, and a quantifiable basis was provided to apply and recearch Crowdsourcing Geographic Data. The assessment framework is able to evaluate and analyse the OSM dataset from many aspects, it is accurate and efficient and also can be used as a reference for future similar studies.
