The Study Of Cubic B-spline Curves About Shape Adjustment Method

Spline function occupies an important position in the ?eld of function approximation,this kind of function has many advantages of polynomial. at the same time the polynomial Overcome the faults of too volatile, not not suitable. So in many important applications, especially involves the design of curve/surface is a major concern. In recent years,The curve/surface on the spline function research has not interrupted, especially in the curve/surface shape adjustment, many of them are important on theory and application result. In this paper, pay particular attention to cubic spline curve shape adjustment problems.This paper comprehensive overview about the spline function and the study status of spline curve, especially about some methods and characteristics of curve shape adjustment.Secondly, analysis some the structure of the cubic B spline curve with local shape parameters, basis on this we given the method of transformation matrix with adjusting parameters to generate the required cubic B spline curve with shape parameter. Study the effect of the parameter change on the curve shape.Again, notice the characteristic of the spline function is piecewise polynomial, the continuity between the different spline curves segment will be affected by the parameter Settings. Therefore, In this paper,we study the shape parameter selection and after the continuity conditions of the spline curve local shape, obtained the continuous conditions of G~0, G~1, G~2.Finally, given some of the speci?c application.
