The Study On The Landscape Pattern And Evolution Of The Human Settlement Surrounding Plateau Lakes

The human settlement surrounding plateau lakes is a part of the human settlement on the plateaus with has special geographical environment. Landscape pattern can reflect land use of specific place and its distribution and evolution are closely related to the human life that is, to some extent, shaped by the combination of factors, such as, modes of production and life, changes of the physioclimate conditions and patterns of political culture etc.Based on the data digital remote sensing imageries, topographic maps and field researches of Dali city, combined with the characteristics of human settlement surrounding plateau lakes and the research content of the National Natural Science Foundation of China(The research of protect and development for the human settlement surrounding the plateau lakes bases on the Ecological Adaptability), supported by digital remote sensing and geographic information system technologies, this thesis, by establishing classification system of landscape type and interpreting, remote sensing imageries, get the three different landscape pattern images of Dali City in year1995,2003and2013and calculates the landscape indices of with the aid of the software Fragstats.On the basis of above work, this thesis analyzes the essential features of the landscape pattern and spatial distribution of Dili City, makes a comparative study of features and causes of the landscape patterns of the east and westpart of Erhai Lake according to the characteristics of human settlements surrounding Erhai Lake; furthermore, studies the evolution characteristics and laws of landscape pattern in human settlements surrounding Erhai Lake from the following three aspects such as the patch characteristics of landscape elements, the characteristics of landscape pattern and the change of landscape types; and analyizes the main factors which affect the distribution and evolution of landscape pattern surrounding Erhai Lake with the help of the data of social economy, physical geography of Dali City.The thesis consists of the following parts:Part â…  (1-2):Introduction to the basic study and the research area of the thesis.This part introduce the basic concepts and theory of plateau lakes, human settlement, landscape pattern; and the research status of landscape pattern and evolution of the human settlement surrounding plateau lakes at home and abroad. And it also includes the research significance, methods, technical route and innovations in this study. It gives a brief introduction to the general situation of research area from the aspects of location, administrative division, range of study, historic evolution, social economy and physical geography and so on.PartII (3-4):A research on characteristics and evolution about landscape pattern of human settlements surrounding Erhai Lake. First of all, this part interprets the remote sensing image of Dali city with the softwares of Envi, Arcgis. Fragstats and calculates the landscape pattern index; Secondly, it analyzes the basic characteristics and spatial distribution of landscape patterns three periods on the basis of landscape pattern and landscape pattern index and makes a comparative analysis of the differences of the landscape pattern of the east and west part of Erhai Lake.Thirdly, it analyzes the evolution of landscape pattern of Dali City in the past18years from the aspects of characteristics of landscape elements, landscape pattern and the change of landscape types, and summarizes the ecolution characteristics and laws of landscape pattern of Dali City.Partâ…¢(Chapter5):Analysis of dricing forces of the landscape pattern and its evolution of human settlement surrounding Erhai Lake.This part analysis the natural factors (terrain, climate and natural disturbance factors) and human factors (population growth, environmental destruction, economic policies and culture) which affect the distribution and evolution of landscape pattern of Dali City.Part4:Conclusion and discussion. The research results of this thesis are as follows.1) The landscape pattern of human settlement surround Erhai Lake has typical characteristics of plateauand is closely correlated with plateau lakes. There are obvious geographical differences in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. There is certain regularity that different landscape types concentratedly distribute in different altitude and slope.2) The landscape pattern changes significantly during the study interval, its artificial construction area increased significantly while the number reduced. The quantity and area of cultivated land are reduced, which shows that artificial construction areas have a mass development trend and they are gradually connected together, thus the natural corridor is blocked and the overall trend of fragmentation are strong.3) The natural influence (terrain,climate and natural disturbances) played a key role in the status of landscape pattern and the different formation on both sides; besides, human influence made a great impact on the evolutionary process of landscape pattern.
