Luoji Mountain( 27°24′~27°39′N, 102°15′~102°24′E),which is located in Sichuan Province, 30 km south of Xichang,The transition zone is located in the southwest plateau extending to northeast hilly and basin, in the middle shaft part of Sichuan Yunnan uplift belt, eastern margin of Luoji Mountain is located in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, is the ideal place to study history in Quaternary glacial period in eastern china.Moraine on Luoji Mountain ditch and paper loda ditch of electron spin resonance(ESR) dating, moraine age results were 14±2ka、84±11ka、58±7ka、17±2ka、13±2ka、24±3ka、26±4ka、33±4ka、75±31ka、245±47ka、199±163ka、135±14ka、588±198ka、279±40ka、317±32ka、604±363ka、558±32ka,combining the research of geomorphology and Stratigraphy and existing, we determine thehappened 4 times altogether in Luoji Mountain glaciation, respectively KunLun ice age in mid Pleistocene(the oldest glaciation), Middle Pleistocene glaciation(downtwo older glacial period), during the last glacial period(early is a new ice age) and late glacial(New glacial period), respectively corresponding to the deep-sea oxygen isotope of MIS16, MIS6, MIS4, MIS2.The oldest moraines on Delin groovedistributed in the valley on both sides, from an altitude of 3800 m has been extended northward about 3600 m into fuzzy; in the paper loda ditch, the oldest moraines from an altitude of 3390m-3700 m along the ridge line extending upward. Older morainesand cirques corresponding lower, moraines from the elevation of 3580 m, moraineend extends to the fracture at 2500 m above sea level with interrupt at. A newmoraine, and middle cirque moraine dams at this stage of the corresponding, from an altitude of 3660 m began to extend to the altitude of 3450 m. The new moraine is a product of the upper cirque, estimated at the time of the smaller scale glaciation.Can infer the Luoji Mountain Glaciers the size and area show decreasing trend.For sedimentological analysis on Luoji Mountain soil sample: the magnetic susceptibility value is low, and the lithology is mainly Luoji Mountain mother rock is the Sinian old six sandstone, dolomitic limestone, tuff related. The results of chemical elements in sediments of the analysis of the data showed: variation range of weathering parameter of CIA is 58.8-84.6, the minimum value is Q-1, the maximum value is AZ-1, the average value is 75.7. The results of the analysis of sediment grain size showed: 14 samples of sediments from Luoji Mountain area with silt and sand is mainly coarse sand, which mostcontent, sand content greater thansilt, which meet the valley glacier moraines general features, namely, the particle size distribution is broad, and with coarse particle based.
