Taiping iron ore deposit is located at northeastern Zhonggu ore field which belongs to Ningwu volcanic basin, Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley metallogenic belt. Taiping iron deposit is closely related with monzonite intrusion, which makes a vary difference comparing with corresponding ore-bearing intrusions in others porphyry iron deposits. Up to now, research on chronology, geochemical characteristics of monzonite is so weak.Related analysis of LA-ICP MS zircon U-Pb dating and geochemical characteristics of monzonite has been carried out, which provides more understanding about the magmatic activity and mineralization processes. It shows that zircon 206Pb/238U weighted average age for monzonite is 129.0±2.0Ma-132.8± 1.8Ma, belonging to the early Cretaceous, it is consistent with other rocks from iron ore deposits in the zhonggu ore field and dioritic magmatic activity in Ningwu volcanic basin:origin and evolution of monzonite has similar characteristics with diorite porphyry in zhonggu ore field and Ningwu volcanic basins, which originates from enriched lithospheric mantle and contamination with crustal and mantle, diagenesis and mineralization of Taiping iron deposits should be consisitent with lithospheric thinning geodynamic background in eastern China.It is still controversial for the genesis of Gushan iron deposits. Based on the recognizing of regional geological background and geological characteristics of Gushan. Comparatively studying on characteristics of geochemical, ore mineral chemistry, classify genesis of Gushan deposit, thus we make a conclusion for the Gushan formation. Analyzing the chemical composition of different structure iron ores, vesicular structure and massive structure in field allustrate iron resource is from deep magma, iron ore’s enrichment of high iron also shows that metallogenic iron is from deep magma chamber, the rare earth elements of apatite is between hydrothermal and magmatic origin......these study all imply that the orebody is related with magma, although kaolinization, silicification and carbonatization is widespread in field, much of the magnetite was replaced hematite assume mushketovite structure, all illustrates hydrothermal activity contribute to the formation of mineral deposits.
