The research of terrigenous entering-sea detrital materials fluxes is part of the global ocean current hot geology research. China’s Yellow Sea is a typical semi-enclosed shelf sea, and it develops the Northern Yellow Sea mud area, mud wedge of Shandong Peninsula, the South Yellow Sea mud area, south eastern Yellow Sea mud area and many muddy areas. Although the thickness of these muddy sediments are different, they keep intact information about the last deglaciation since the evolution of the marine environment, and important information of source-sink effects of climate change and other aspects. It is the natural laboratory of studies in land source material from the source to sink and land and sea interaction. Sea shelf sediments by a huge impact, but also by long shore currents, such as the impact of the Yellow Sea warm, sedimentary environment is complex, diverse provenance.Provenance Yellow Sea shelf muddy main body into the sea shelf rivers substances, including the Yangtze River, Yellow River, along the river Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula along the river and along the river on the Korean peninsula, where the enormous influence of the Yellow substance. However, due to sediment in transport, sedimentation and deposition process after the occurrence of various complex physical and chemical changes in the study of the marginal sea sediments source judgment, the single method of contracting a single indicator often know its limitations. How to use a more effective indicator of discrimination source materials, become an important research topic. In this paper, the element geochemistry is the main means to carry out the whole rock and clay size fraction (<2μm) geochemical analyzes were combined with analytical methods 210Pb dating, clay minerals and detrital minerals, etc. Carry out a comprehensive study for the Southern Yellow Sea in northern BOl short column core analyzed sedimentary geochemistry and mineral composition characteristics to explore the process from source to sink the South Yellow Sea shelf Holocene sediments.BOl core is divided into four sections sedimentary environments:160-280cm, stable strong hydrodynamic environment; 100-160cm, sedimentary environment turbulence, lower than hydrodynamic weakened; 10-100cm, stable weak hydrodynamic environment; 0-10cm, hydrodynamic strengthened. There are 14 kinds of sediments light mineral, the main minerals are plagioclase, quartz and biotite, followed by a K-feldspar, muscovite, weathered mica, dolomite and weathered debris. There are 29 kinds of heavy minerals, main ones are hornblende and ilmenite, followed by aepidote, magnetite and biotite. By comparison with the Yellow River, Yangtze substance, BOl core material is much closer to the Yellow River. The deposition rate of B01 core is 0.3cm/a. The deposition rate is relatively low, which is consistent with results of previous studies.Illite covers the highest concentrations in the sediment, followed by chlorite and kaolinite, montmorillonite lowest content. Montmorillonite, illite, kaolinite+chlorite Triangle Endmember figure shows the B01 provenance is mainly from the material of the Yellow River, and Yangtze River, Yalu River, Jinjiang and Yeongsan etc. also contribute parts of the materials. Most whole rock and clay size fractions elements follow the law of the granular control, reflecting the effect of land-control substance. According clay tablets level elements factor analysis, the main controlling factor is terrigenous elements, followed by restricted depositional environment, changing in redox conditions in the form of a direct impact on the occurrence of elements and content level. Besides that, It also affected by the extent of sediment chemical weathering effects.Clay grain size chondrite and upper continental crust distribution patterns show LREE fractionation obvious significantly higher LREE HREE. After chondrite normalized δE, no obvious negative anomaly,δCe no obvious abnormalities, no obvious abnormalities through the upper continental crust (UCC) standardized δEu and 8Ce.EuN and LREE/HREE discrimination more material source of sediments, the Yangtze River, Yellow River, Dagu and JJ and others have physical contribution, but mainly from the Yellow River.
