The integral equation(IE) method is a popular tool which has many important applications e.g. in the radar technology, antenna design and microwave engineering. In this paper, the surface integral equation domain decomposition method(IE-DDM) is proposed for solving field problem of multi-scale perfect electronic conductor(PEC) object even composite object with homogeneous materials. For multi-scale object, non-conformal meshes are introduced into the IE-DDM.Firstly, the main solving steps of MoM and basic principles of IE-DDM are introduced in this paper. For the PEC target, CFIE is used in every sub-domain and for solving dielectric object, generalized combined field surface integral equation(GCFIE) is applied. Furthermore, this paper also uses hierarchical matrix algorithm to accelerate the IE-DDM.Traditionally, the meshes on touching face of two adjacent sub-domains are conformal in integral equation domain decomposition method, but here non-conformal meshes are applied in IE-DDM to make the algorithm more flexible. What’s more, to improve the condition number of IE-DDM matrix equation, a good preconditioner produced by IE-DDM framework is used in left side of the impedance matrix equation, reducing the number of iterations.Among the practical engineering problems, analysis target is often a composite object with homogeneous materials. IE-DDM algorithm is also a good tool to sovling these problemes. The complex boundary condition of touching face can be simplified by using the transmission condition(TC) in it.Finally, a new application in IE-DDM fremwork is proposed for sovling scattering field from combination target of body of revolution and arbitrary structure. In BoR subdomain, the BoR basis functions are used and in non-rotating body subdomain RWG basis functions are chosen. The Current mapping method is also applied in IE-DDM freamwork with Gauss-Seidel method. Moreover, numerical examples demonstrate that the IE-DDM is available for solving this problem.
