Based on xinjiang in Balikun Xialaoba –Shihuiyao area of Devonian as the research object, on the basis of predecessors’ achievements information collected extensively, through field survey and indoor synthetic analysis of the Devonian in the studied area distribution, sequence, division of stratigraphic units, rock composition, contact relationship of the rocks, fossils, including basic geochemical characteristics from the system study of duty has the following:1.This area lower developments lower Devonian Dananhu formation(D1d) and the upper Devonian kanggertage formation(D3kg), Dananhu formation and overlying the Ordovician Miaoergou formation for unconformity contact; With the overlying kangge tager formation as the unconformity contact; Missing the middle Devonian. The upper Devonian kanggertage formation and the upper Carboniferous Heishantou formation for the contact. The Devonian strata in the study area and the Devonian in south of tianshan mountain Tuha basin is obviously different.2. The upper Devonian rock characteristics of kanggertage formation in certain radioactive-polluted area has obvious changes in both east and west, the east less normal sedimentary clastic rocks, but more volcanic rocks, middle appears volcanic rocks, the west is mostly normal sedimentary clastic rocks. According to this phenomenon, the lateer Devonian of the area from west to east enhanced trend of volcanic activity.3.Through the lower Devonian Dananhu formation rock composition, bedding structure, volcanic debris characteristics and so on, revealed a sedimentary strata of Dananhu formation at the bottom of the group to central and bring out a regressive sequence. Upper part of the group are mainly a set of volcanic clastic rock in a small amount of volcanic clastic sedimentary rocks and Mafic volcanic rocks, through rock chemical analysis judgment this volcanic eruption environment should be the island environment.4.Though the study of XinjiangBalikunXalaoba –Shihuiyao area the metamorphism and deformation of the Devonian strata and the relationship between the contact, divided early Devonian to the structural and the structure of the later Devonian to early Carboniferous.
