China is a country of landslide disaster frequently happended, especially in the southwest mountainous area with terrain fluctuation and complex geological environment, where often developed large landslides with complex formation mechanism, varieties of inducing factors and strong detructive power, for which landslides were listed as a type of geological disasters committed to research.The study area of this paper located in Danba, Sichuan province, where contains a large number of langslide, collapse and debris flow disasters, which cause great threat to the security of life and property for local residents. The main research contents include landslides detection of Danba and deformation monitoring of Jiaju landslide, providing deformation data for stability analysis and preventation engineering. Specific experimental scheme and results are as follows.(1) 20 ALOS PALSAR images with the time span reach a length of four years are used to investigate landslide activity in the study area based on SBAS technology. The comparison result between experimental results of average annual rate of deformation, cumulative deformation and historical monitoring data demonstrate that these experiments totally identify 11 landslide disasters and 2 candidate ones. The last part analyzes the limitation of the experiment itself and summarizes several cases that failed to identify.(2) Jiaju landslide is a typical of the landslides detected above. 9 Envisat ASAR images and 20 ALOS PALSAR images are respectively used for the monitoring of average annual rate and cumulative deformation, and the analyzing the deformation characteristics on space and time domain. Then, the deformation results from two types of SAR images were contrasted with the three-dimensional deformation results based on GPS technology,and both showed a good agreement. This indicates the reliability of the deformation results for Jiaju landslide, as well for the results of landslides detection for Danba. The final part given a preliminary analysis of the inducing factors of Jiaju landslide.
