Carboniferous-permian coal seams are widely distributed and their resources are very rich in coal fields of North China. In recent years, not only energy is increased demand but also coal mining is increasing in intensity, with the rapid development of industry. In order to extend the life of coal mine,it is imminent and urgent seam which is threatened by water inrush. However,Ordovician limestone aquifer is the main aquifer affecting coal mining. As coal mining depth is increased, the water pressure of Ordovician limestone on seam floor is bigger and bigger, the threat of Ordovician limestone aquifer to the coal seam becomes more serious. It is very significant to make a feasibility study on the seam which is threatened by water inrush,so that it may be safe and efficient coal mining.Xin’an mine is owned by the Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group,it is an annual output of one million tons of old coal mine and extracts mainly 2#coal,Xin’an mine begins to product coal on October 1,1971,with an annual designed production capacity of 300,000 tons.Technological transformation is completed in 2010,its production capacity has reached 1.5million tons/year; 2#coal not threatened by water inrush that has been mined for nearly 50 years has basically dried up. 2#coal threatened by Daqing limestone and Ordovician limestone water inrush has also been put into production, so it is imminent for 2#coal threatened by water inrush to start off hazard evaluation.Combined with the hydrogeology conditions of Xin’an Mine, this paper carries out the following work:(1)With 54 borehole data of Xin’an mine 54 as the basic data, a three-dimensional geological model of Xin’an mine is generated by the use of GMS software. By analyzing the east and west and the north-south direction and combinations sections show that the depth of coal seam from west to east is gradually increases from north to south coal seam depth is growing.(2)According to the 54 borehole data of Xin’an mine, the use of water inrush coefficient method for 2#coal were predicted bottom water inrush. Prediction results is the following: Some water inrush coefficient is greater than the experienced value 0.06Mpa/m in the region. If we do not actively take timely preventive measures, there will be a risk of water inrush.(3)Finally,the present study proposes water preventive measures for 2#coal: the grouting reconstruction of coal seam floor measure adopted to Daqing and Ordovician limestone aquifer.
