Offshore platform, as the infrastructure of the offshore oil and gas exploration, plays a very import role in the national economy and social life. With offshore platform accidents occur from time to time, more and more attention has been brought to the health of the service offshore platform structure. Now the health assessment of offshore platform structure has become a hot issue in the research of ocean engineering. How to evaluate the health of the offshore platform reasonably and scientifically under the permissibility of economic and technique condition is an urgent and significant research topic. To this problem, this article gives a deeply study on the health evaluation of the offshore platform structure based on the existing health evaluation methods. The main contents of this article are as follows:1. According to relevant regulations of offshore platforms and combining with structural features, this article built a more complete heal evaluation index system of the offshore platform based on hierarchical structure, and determined the corresponding classification criteria for each evaluation index as well as defining the health level of offshore platform structure.2. According to the establishment of objectives and functions of offshore platform structure health monitoring system, this article determines the overall design and project components of the monitoring system, including the detailed design of sensor subsystems, data acquisition and transmission subsystem, data processing and analysis subsystem, structural evaluation subsystem.3. The article combined fuzzy theory with neural network technology and applied to the health evaluation of the offshore platform structure. A health evaluation model is established based on fuzzy neural network. Then we can input monitoring data as the training sample to obtain the health evaluation results of offshore platforms. This method reduces the impact of human factors on the health evaluation process and also ensures the objectivity and rationality of the evaluation results.4. On the basis of Visual Basic the article developed the health monitoring and evaluation system software of the offshore platform actual project to achieve the offshore platform information and graphic display, security warning, data storage management as well as historical data query functions. In addition, the paper use Access software designed the monitoring database to manage the monitoring data of the offshore platform.
