Wavelet transform is widely used to have a significant role in the signal processing. It is composed of engineers J. Morlet first proposed in1974. Wavelet transform is the highlight both in the time domain and frequency domain performance capabilities of the local signal.This feature is the traditional Fourier transform can not be compared.For the analysis of the wavelet transform local information transient signal and image played a very good effect. Wavelet transform signal analysis.Its characteristics are in the low-frequency and high-frequency short-long embodied. Indication of the localized nature is so good.Fourier transform can effectively overcome the limitations in dealing with the non-existence of steady signal.So,the wavelet transform have good use in image signal processing.In this paper,several commonly used wavelet function and the nature and use in different areas based focusing on the power of its Mexican hat wavelet image edge processing functions,as well as in different stretch factor of wavelet transform under different values of the edge reflected.Wavelet transform to obtain the matched filter is superior to the genera filter and conducted experiments using MATLAB simulation and validation,it follows wavelet transform in image processing feasibity and superiority.
