The geological environment is very complicated in Miyun County of Beijing, and the growth area for mud flow, collapse and landslide has caused quantities of economic losses and casualties. In order to decrease the loss caused by the geological disaster, it’s especially important to be carried out the risk evaluation of geological disasters before it occurred. This paper takes on basis of the detailed survey of sudden geologic disaster in Miyun County of Beijing which is developed by Beijing municipal bureau of land and resources. Mud flow, collapse and landslide are selected as the research targets. The main conclusions are summarized as follows:1 By analyzing the field data, making clear the major types of sudden geologic disaster in Miyun county of Beijing and getting the characteristic of Mud flow, collapse and landslide as the main geologic disasters.2 By analyzing the characteristic of disasters, we can get a clear view on their time distribution feature and spatial distribution feature. After that we can also get the influence factors of sudden geologic disaster.3 By using qualitative and quantificational method, the geological hazard susceptibility zonation can be divided into high easy-happening area, medium easy-happening area and low easy-happening area.4 According to the result of geological hazard susceptibility zonation, the difference in regional conditions of geological environment and the distribution of potential geological hazard points, the geological hazard risk zonation can be divided into high danger potentiality zone, medium danger potentiality zone and low danger potentiality zone by using qualitative and quantificational method.
