The continuous development of traffic network promotes the development of tunnel engineering and underground engineering, but because of the complexity and uncertainty of the geological environment make tunneling engineering extremely difficult, and security is also limited. In order to meet the requirements of modern automated and mechanized device and provide a strong scientific basis for the construction, it is very necessary to strengthen the research and application of advanced geological exploration technology.This paper makes in-depth research on the detection principle of induced polarization method. Mechanism of induced polarization is analyzed, the working principle and system composition of BEAM advanced geological exploration are mastered. ANSYS finite element simulation software is used to simulate the parameters influencing the detection results. Set up experimental system. According to the simulation results and the experimental results, the detection ability of BEAM is studied. This paper focuses on the BEAM advanced detection method based on the fundamental principle of induced polarization method, introduces the detection principle of BEAM method, detecting device and some key parameters in the process of detection. In order to explore the influence of geological conditions on the detection results in the process of BEAM method, provide a convincing basis for actual measurement, the ANSYS finite element simulation software is used to simulate the working process of the BEAM method. The operation process of ANSYS simulation software in electric field and the analysis and processing of the simulation results in the post-processor are introduced in detail. According to the working process of BEAM installed on TBM shield machine and distribution of electrodes the simulation model is established in ANSYS. First verify the effect of the protective electrode, and then explore the effects of different parameters on the simulation results. Changing the properties of anomalous body, offset position, size and the properties of surrounding rock in exploration area, obtain the nephogram of voltage and electric field and the influence of abnormal body and surrounding rock on the simulation results, draw voltage transfer curve, which provides the basis for the experiment. Experimental platform is built, providing a excitation source with voltage adjustable, adjustable frequency. Add the excitation voltage to the rectangular geological model, use acquisition card measure data, connect LabVIEW to process and save the experimental data. The experiment is to verify the influence of the parameters of the abnormal body on the experimental results under limited conditions, analyze and calculate percentage frequency effect, verify correctness of forward simulation.By comparing the simulation results with the experimental results, the detection ability and applicability of BEAM method are verified, which is the theoretical basis for the advance geological exploration of the BEAM method.
