Automatic Generation Design Of Standardization Map Symbols Based On ArcGIS

There are more and more map symbols when the area of map developed. Many GIS platforms have their own symbol storages for usage. However, different storages have different standards and wasting occurs because of the limitation of sharing. This paper aims to solve the symbol library of standardized mapping problems, in-depth study of the map symbol expression and drawing standards, fully using ArcMap, added in line with our standards of different scale map symbol library, designed the database and symbol library, realize the map symbol standardization automatic drawing, also completed the symbol selector, attribute table display, map output function module. The automatic generation system of the standardized map sign is realized, which has the features of clear purpose, simple and easy to use and accord with the standard.
