Chang6 reservoir of Huangcan37 well field Huangling oil region was researched in this paper. The research area chang6 reservoir was divided into 4 sub-layer. Formation characteristics, reservoir bed characteristics and reservoir characteristics of the research area chang6 reservoir were studied, the geologic reserves and recoverable reserves were also calculated. These are geological foundation for further development.The study showed, the research area Chang6 reservoir located in south of northern Shaanxi slope Ordos Basin, the regional structure was a gentle west-dipping monoclinic, slightly to the north west, angle of bedding was less than 1°, gradient ratio was 6-10m per Km, the internal structure was simple, nosing structure formed locally by differential compaction, trap was depositional trap; The sign feature of research reservoir sub-layer were obviously and stability in formation characteristics; It was low porosity and low permeability reservoir in reservoir bed characteristics, and the areal heterogeneity of sub-layer were strong under the influence of precipitation and diagenic metamorphism. According to core data and precipitation facie, sand, porosity, permeability plane, the porosity distribution and permeability distribution of sub-layers were compatibility and directivity. It was founded that the Chang6 reservoir was weak velocity sensitivity, weak alkali sensitivity and weak water sensitivity by sensitivity experiments. It was also showed that the research area Chang6 reservoir had poor physical properties, strong heterogeneity, largely changes of lubricity, no oil-water interface. The Chang6 reservoir was a typical elastic-dissolved gas drive lithologic reservoir.
