In recent years, some novel concepts such as cloud computing and smart city have come out and been improved by people which highlights the importance of indoor positioning technology. In the paper, indoor localization problem in geometric region from industrial practice based on error model is considered.Firstly, we review the development history and research abroad and in China about indoor positioning technology, and we summarize the characteristics and applications of several different kinds of indoor positioning technology. Moreover we describe an algorithm based on distance measurement technology.Secondly, we provide noise error model based on measurement data, and analyze how the algorithms can conjunct with positioning technology. We also introduce the quasi-Newton method and the Levenberg-Marquart algorithm to solve the multi-anchor array positioning model. We give a detailed analysis of numerical experiments based on MATLAB tools. Finally, we focus on distribution of anchor arrays in the special area, and improve the positioning method combined with the concept of triangulation, furthermore present an optimization model of anchors distribution based on Delaunay triangulation and its effective algorithm to solve the model.
