The Nanhu Wetland Park is not only a new men-made urban wetland park but also an excellent place for birds living and breeding. During October 2013 to September 2014, we investigated the birds resources of 4 kinds habitats in Nanhu Wetland Park, utilizing line-transects and fixed radius points method.We analyzed and discussed the differences of bird communities of the 4 kinds of habitats in different seasons in the study area. The results are as following:We recorded 89 bird spices, which belong to 37 families of 15 orders.Among them,41 species are summer migratory birds,8 species are winter migratory birds,15 species are resident birds and 25 species are passage migrants.The Shannon-wiener diversity index, Pielou evenness index, Simpson dominance index and species richness index were used to analyze the diversities of the bird community in the study area. As a result, in four seasons, the highest birds diversity index occurred in Spring(2.5784), the next was Summer(2.2087),Autumn(2.1123), the lowest was Winter(1.5504).According to the characteristics of the topography and vegetation types, the survey area was divided into 4 kinds of habitat (wetland, woodland, meadows and residential area). Analyzed the community of birds, diversity and evenness of bird community, the similarity between communities, among different seasons of 4 kinds of habitat, the results are as following:According to Shannon-wiener diversity index of each habitats:in Spring: wetland> residential area> woodland> meadows, in Summer:wetland> meadows> woodland> residential area, in Autumn:wetland> residential area> meadows> woodland, in Winter:wetland> meadows> woodland and residential area.Analyzed from similarity index between communities of each habitats:the maximum was between residential area and woodland (0.4828) in Spring, the maximum was between residential area and woodland (0.6452) in Summer, the maximum was between residential area and woodland (0.6975) in Autumn, the maximum was between residential area and woodland, between woodland and meadows (0.3616) in Winter.Based on the above research results, we analyzed existing resources status of birds in Nanhu Wetlands Park, the relationship between bird community structure and environment, put forward the opinion of birds and habitat protection.
