As computer technology continues to mature, software simulation has become an important way to solve the problem. It’s important to make sure the accuracy of the parameters when simulation using the software. It directly affects the accuracy of the calculation results. The purpose of this dissertation is to study some parameters of surface characteristics of sea object, such as the position of the sun and the heat transfer coefficient, have done. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. Comparing these variables that calculated from the program with the measured data comes from Basic Data of Geography in China, from the Chinese Astronomical Almanac for the year 1985 and calculated from the program of Wang Bingzhong respectively, it can be found that the program of Joseph J. Michalsky can be more accurate and efficient to calculate the position of the sun.2. It includes two aspects in calculating the surface heat transfer coefficient using Fluent. Before calculated using it, on the one hand, what we should do is to discrete computational domain of the model using Gambit, which is meshed. On the other hand, we analyzed the features, Reynolds number, Mach number of the model and determined the main parameters, such as the solver, the form of the flowing, the compressible or incompressible and so on. And in the last, we introduced the solution process of Fluent.3. Finally, the results that calculated from Fluent are analyzed as follows:it calculated by different regions are compared to determine the reasonable size of the computational domain; By setting reasonable divided parameters, we compare the results from different grid thickness degree; The last, the results of two different turbulence models are compared, and we found that the realizable k-e model is more reasonable and compared with empirical formula of heat transfer coefficient. In short, we found a program that can more accurate calculate the position of the sun by verifying it from various aspects, and we also conducted a relatively complete study for the heat transfer coefficient. In certain, it has some reference value.
