Laser plasma(LP) is a kind of laboratory plasma. When use a beam of high energy density of laser to incident on the solid target, the target material will be heated and be ionized to a kind of plasma with the temperature to thousands of electron volts level. At the moment, the high energy of laser deliver to particles, into the energy of particles in the plasma. Laser plasma physics run through multiple areas, it become a new branch in the recent 20 to 30 years and become a discipline foundation of some major application such as laser driver particle accelerator and so on. Compared with space sphere plasmas, the density distribution and the magnetic field distribution of laser plasma have some differences and relations. Now we can produce out some laser plasmas that close to parts of physical condition of space environment in laboratory environment.Alfvén waves(AW) widely exists in Tokamak plasma physics and space environment that most of the energy in the form of high-energy particles. According to research, Alfvén waves make very important role in the formation of space energetic particle. Meanwhile, Alfvén waves have extensive effect in magnetosphere- ionosphere coupling, the sun corona heating and the solar wind acceleration, the accretion disk physics, interstellar medium physics and some space and astrophysics physics.This paper first expounded the research progress of laser plasmas and Alfvén waves and their applications in heating and acceleration of the particles, and briefly introduced some basic parameters of the plasma, listed three kinds of commonly used descriptive methods, and the physical significance of the Alfvén waves is given, to provide the necessary basic concept and knowledge.Secondly, we introduced the kinetic Alfvén wave(KAW) systematically, with two kinds of methods, including the magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) and kinetics methods deduced kinetic Alfvén wave dispersion relation who are in space sphere thin plasmas and described two generation mechanism of the kinetic Alfvén waves, they laid a foundation for us to further analysis kinetic Alfvén wave acceleration mechanism of laser plasma.Third, we analysed the parameters characteristics of the kinetic Alfvén wave with the parameters of the earth and the upper atmosphere when aurora occurs, builded the temperature and density model and combine of the dispersion relation which we got under the dynamics limit. At the same time, according to the laser plasma parameters we got from the lab, build up kinetic Alfvén wave model in laser-plasmas, explored the characteristics of KAW in the laser-plasmas, which plays an important role in the mechanisms of particles heating and acceleration in space plasma. Analyse the existence of kinetic Alfvén waves in the laser plasma laboratory.Finally, the paper’s main contents are summarized. Meanwhile, we made a further expectation to the kinetic Alfvén waves in laser plasmas.
