As the oil industry has developed for many decades, more and more difficulties emerged in front of us.To overcome these difficulties, oil exploration experts has invented many new technical equipments,such as FMI and XRMI.The FMI and XRMI image is convenient for logging interpretation staff.Therefor it is widely used in the oil exploration field.This article has introduced the Instrument structure of FMI and XRMI.It also introduced how to process the raw data of electrical imaging logging,including electric buckle aligned, acceleration correction, electric button automatic calibration and quality testing, the combined image plate, plate equalization and the data filtering process.After the basic processing of the electrical imaging logging data,the logging data has been transferred to an imagine,which can display how the fractures and caves look like under the ground.But the problem is how to use the imagine to calculate fracture porosity and other parameters which can be used to evaluate reservoirs.Therefore this article has introduced the technology of the automatic detection of image features,the calculation of fracture and cave parameters and the porosity spectrum.To solve the automatic detection of image features,the OTSU and image morphological filtering method has been used.After the image segmentation, fracture and cave parameters can be calculated. The porosity spectrum can reveal the heterogeneity and porosity of the reservoir.Carbonate reservoirs is a hot research topic,because it can reserve much oid and gas.About 70 percent oil and gas are produced from carbonate reservoirs.But the evaluation of the carbonate reservoirs can be a tough problem,because the reservoir space is complicated and it has strong heterogeneity.To evaluate the carbonate fractures and caves,the conventional logging data and electrical imaging logging data has both been used.The conventional logging data includes resistivity curves,porosity cures,DACR and REMA.
