Wanjiang City belt is an important industrial corridor of Anhui province, which is economically developed and densely populated, which is a national undertaking industrial transfer demonstration zone. The change of the Yangtze River in Wanjiang City belt and the comprehensive utilization of beach have a very important significance to the construction and development of the region. And the deformation monitoring of landslide is an important part of it. The timely warning of natural disasters is directly related to the safety of urban construction and the vital interests of the people. However, in recent years, accidents caused by landslides are not uncommon, to this end, the Yangtze River Channel Management Bureau of Anhui Province pays special attention to the slope of the monitoring and safety warning.In order to overcome the shortcomings of conventional slope monitoring, people began to study the digital close range photogrammetry. With the continuous updating and upgrading of digital camera, digital image processing technology and the continuous improvement of the photogrammetry theory, the application of photogrammetry technology in slope monitoring began to receive more attention. Especially the emergence of digital SLR camera, greatly reducing the barriers to entry the digital close range photogrammetry, provides a new method for slope monitoring. Using close range photogrammetry technology on the side slope measuring point shooting and also by measuring robot measured measuring point coordinates, and then through the software to generate 3D surface model of the slope. These advantages, making close range photogrammetry technology is more suitable for slope monitoring, in the appropriate distance shooting dangerous targets, improve the safety factor, especially in some special monitoring body.In this paper, take Heyue sandbar of Datong town which is in the deformation period as an example, considering the complexity of the topography of the Yangtze River, the traditional monitoring method is difficult to implement deformation monitoring. Although there are GPS measurement method, high performance and no prism total station in the landslide monitoring applications, but it is time-consuming and laborious, easily subject to the restrictions of the site. Therefore, to achieve the goal of using close range photogrammetry technology, has its irreplaceable advantages. According to the characteristics of the surrounding environment of the slope, analyze the key points of how to set up the control points and monitoring points, how to make use of non measuring camera Canon 5D Mark Ⅲ’s photographs, using close range photogrammetry Lensphoto 2.0 software to solve data and construct a 3D surface model of the slope, so as to achieve the purpose of slope monitoring. And simply analyzes several methods of camera calibration, also put forward some problems and the future research work is prospected.
