In this paper,sandy conglomerate of Es33 in Oulituozi area in the eastern of Liao He depression is the main research object. The main purpose of the research is to make sure the controlling factors of the palaeogeomorphology deposition.First, we set fine stratigraphic correlation and stratigraphic division of Oulituozi area by the guidance of the Sequence Stratigraphy theory, using well logging data and seismic data. The standard interface of sandy conglomerate of Es33 has finally been determined. In terms of connecting well section and other information, the isochronal stratigraphic frame of the study area has been set.Study area is a continuously developed large nose-like structure belt of Paleogene, which located in middle of the west slope of the eastern sag in the Liao He depression. The condition of oil source is good. The early stage of exploration mainly found fault block reservoirs and fault-nose reservoirs in the complex fault terrace. In the south and north of the study area, the exploration degree is relatively high. Certain amount of proved reserves have been found in Es33.The early exploratory wells in Dongjiagang(the middle strudy area) did not drill the reservoir or drilled the thin red layer, so the exploration was once stagnated.After comprehensive consideration of exploration strategy, we considered that under the control of palaeotopography, multistage of superimposed fan bodies might develop in the study region. In the slope and nose-like structure periclinal parts, there are good conditions for forming lithologic oil reservoirs and great potential for exploration.This paper aimed at the characteristics of Es33 alluvial fan bodies in Oulituozi area, taking full advantage of 3-D seismic. Through the seismic analysis and geo-statistical methods, the distribution of Es33 alluvial fan bodies has been described. In terms of fine description of typical fan bodies in Dongjiaganzi area, the stages of fan bodies have been distinguished. To solve the problem of the heterogeneity of oil and gas distribution of big series of sandy conglomerate, the prediction of effective reservoirs and hydrocarbon testing are necessary. With the research of reservoir-forming regularity, the exploration target selection and evaluation have been carried out and the exploration of sandy conglomerate in the eastern slope zone has been promoted.
