As an important marine electromagnetic survey method, marine controlled source electromagnetic detection plays a very important role in solid mineral exploration, offshore oil and gas exploration and evaluation of subsea engineering. Whose basic principle is that a low-frequency electromagnetic sources dragged at the top of the seabed, the receivers are arranged in the sea or at the top of electromagnetic source, aiming to receive electromagnetic scattering response from the seabed geological and use the response to study undersea formations electrical distribution. Being the controlled source electromagnetic excitation field source, marine controlled source electromagnetic transmitter is not only the hardware-based of CSEM method, but also probing an important part in the entire marine CSEM system.This paper analyzes and compares the common topology of switching power supply.According to the power range and characteristics of each topology, this paper creatively puts forward the main circuit topology of double AC DC rectifier +H bridge inverter and discusses the advantages of the structure, selection and calculation for the main circuit of the important components of a detailed plan.It also has the comparative analysis of the hard-switching technology and soft-switching technology and a approach that using the hard-switching technology to control the full-bridge converter was proposed.The power system thermal design determines the electrical performance of the power quality, which is a vital part of the design of power supply. This paper completes a detailed theoretical calculation and thermal analysis with ICEPAK of the circuit loss of each part, which has a clear understanding to the heat and distribution of heat in the process of using the transmitter; Independent water circulation system is designed based on the simulation results.The 6kW low voltage high power electromagnetic transmitter is developed based on a large number of experiments. The correctness of power topology and validity of control method of the system are verified through the experiment of open loop and closed loop in the laboratory system. The sea experiment in Tianjin proved the transmitter performance fully meetting the requirementsf, which can competent for the demand of the Marine exploration.
