With the deepening of exploration and development of Sulige gas field, logging evaluation faces a lot of challenges, including the serious heterogeneity, the different types of pore space, the complex pore structure, complex control factors of reservoir and gas-water relations. In order to shorten production cycle of Zhao 51 Block, recognition and evaluation methods of tight sandstone gas reservoir and synthetical classification criteria of reservoir are urgent needed, which will provide technical support to exploit Sulige gas field.Zhao 51 Block in Sulige gas field is the research object of this paper. 4-property relationship and pore structure and firstly studied in this paper, then the quantitative interpretation models for reservoir are established, including clay content, porosity, permeability, water saturation and connate water saturation model, which provide theoretical basis for logging recognition of gas reservoir.Based on the logging response characteristics of gas reservoir, different recognition methods of gas reservoir are applied in this paper, including crossplot, the comparison of laterlogging and induction logging, triple porosity difference value and specific value methods, gas-bearing equivalent method, equivalent elastic modulus method, dual porosity difference value method and the improved multi-parameters synthetic probability method. The identification of gas reservoir achieves good result with these methods.In order to determine petrophysical lower limit value for the effective reservoir, three methods are applied in this paper, including replacement pressure knee point method, porosity-permeability crossplot method and gas testing analysis method. Based on the relation between production data and logging parameters, the synthetical classification criteria of gas reservoir are established in this paper. Based on the research for 4-property relationship and pore structure, yielding water types and characteristics are studied in this paper and the main type of yielding water is determined. Based on these research results, logging data of 70 wells are processed and nine pieces of effective production zone are selected.The actual application effect shows that the recognition methods in this paper improves the rate with logging interpretation of Zhao 51 Block, which have an important application value for tight sandstone gas reservoir evaluation.
